چکیده
METHODS: This single-site, retrospective cohort study included data from breast reconstruction procedures from June 2013 to March 2016. Data collected included demographics, chemotherapy/radiation exposure, surgical technique, LOS, drain usage, post-operative incision care and 90 day post-operative complications. Two-sided T-test and Chisquare or Fisher’s Exact tests were performed at α = 0.05.

Abstract: A Prospective Randomized Controlled Trial of Autologous Fat Grafting for Pedal Fat Pad Atrophy
INTRODUCTION: Pedal fat pad atrophy is associated with pain, decreased tissue thickness, and elevated foot pressures. To date, no objective studies have investigated the utility of injecting fat into the forefoot to treat this costly and debilitating form of lipoatrophy. We hypothesize that pedal fat grafting can reduce pain, improve function, increase tissue thickness, and decrease pedal press...
متن کاملPlatlet Rich Plasma (PRP) Improves Fat Grafting Outcomes
Autologous fat transfer offers many qualities of a ideal soft tissue filler. Main advantages of fat grafting ensue from the fact that the lipoaspirate tissue is an abundant source of regenerative pluripotential cells. However, the reported rates of fat cell survival vary greatly in the medical literature (10-90%). Different techniques of harvesting, processing, and reinjecting the fat cells are...
متن کاملAbstract: Autologous Pedal Fat Grafting: A Randomized Cross-Over Clinical Trial
INTRODUCTION: Diabetic foot ulceration is known to be the result of multiple factors, including neuropathy, plantar pressure, shoe fit, and pedal soft tissue thickness. Excessive pressure is recognized to play a role by inducing ischemic change. There is no standardized normal value for pedal soft tissue thickness. In this study, we aimed to investigate the degree of pedal soft tissue atrophy d...

Background and Objectives: Given the fact that randomized controlled clinical trials are more valid than other research methods to determine the therapeutic effects of treatment, proper design and accurate reporting is of particular importance. This study was conducted with the aim of evaluating the quality of writing the title and abstract of randomized clinical trials of Iranian medical unive...

Background: The purpose of this randomized study was to examine the effects of a supervised aerobic training program on anthropometry, lipid profile and body composition of obese adult leukemia survivors. Methods: Fifty-four obese adult leukemia survivors were allocated randomly into two groups of equal number. The intervention group underwent a supervised aerobic training program for 30-40 mi...
